A BACKWARDS DAY, by Patrick Fuellbeck.

Today is the day that things are reversed

It's my day today and so I've rehearsed

My dog is a cat and Mother my Father

My name is not Larry but Mary Mcbother

The sky is the ground and a knife is a fork

A carrot a fruit and the beef is some pork

You might be mixed up, but I'm in delight

When my pants are my shirt and the nighttime is bright

My head is now spinning with too much to do

I've got to sit down and think my world through

Backwards is fun but not for too long

There's something about it that's terribly wrong

With this confusion and silliness brings

A bundle of mixed up and wonderful things

So if the moon is a star and my nose is my ear

I'll have to be backwards for five thousand years!
