The theme of the MAY 2016 FILM FESTIVAL was: "Grey Areas".
Every film showcased on the night were documentaries that didn't show a clear answer to any problem or situation.
Here's the summary of each film:
- CHAMPION: Dogs at a race track. They are beautiful and magestic. But are they happy to be there?
- EVERYBODY FALLS DOWN: Filming people at a Syrian refugee camp.
- LIKE A STAR: A special actor goes to Texas to get a film award.
- 1Minute Nature: Three animated short films told from a kid's perspective.
- #UNITED WE WIN: Three people in their early 20s go to the Iraq war front lines.
- WRESTLING ZA'ATARI: Wrestling champion in a Jordan's Za'atari refugee camp.
- PLANE SPOTTING: Short documentary about Robert's passion for plane spotting.
- CASTE A WAVE: History and adventures of the birth of surfing.
- THE LAST TEAR: History of the painful "comfort women" who were recruited to sexually serve the during WW2
- SHADOW OF A GIANT: The story of one Canada's largest environmental disasters, Yellowknife's Giant Mine.
It's a new beginning to the FEEDBACK Film Festival at the Carlton Cinemas in downtown Toronto, Canada. Great things are coming in the 2016 season as we will be showcasing a festival every single month!
