Michael P. Vidler is a creative and enthusiastic ?lmmaker from Vancouver, Canada. At a young age Michael took a fervent interest in film and storytelling. He would write short narratives from his bedroom in the attic, and cast unsuspecting friends and family member to act in said narratives. In the years since this Michael has gone on to work in the industry as an editor and camera operator for CityTV in Vancouver. As well as his professional career Michael has continued to write, direct and produce his own short films.
These films have screened at festivals around the work, such as The Atlantic Film Festival, The New York Independent Film Festival, and the Bronx Film Festival. Along with this Michael has recently completed his MFA in film from Raindance. While completing his Masters Michael wrote and directed the short film Mine which has been playing at festivals world wide and took home several awards. It won the Best International Short Film award at the Williamsburg Film Festival, a Silver award from the Spotlight Horror Film Awards and a Best Actress Award at the Macabre Fair Film Festival for Paula Spur's performance of Dianne. Since the completion of Mine Michael has continued to explore filmmaking and is now currently working on developing his first feature film.
