Summer Blake is a Los Angeles filmmaker and recent graduate of Northwestern University's Film Program where she focused in writing for page, screen, and stage. Her full-length screenplay New Playlist was selected for Northwestern's annual feature film production in 2014 and her two self-directed shorts, Uncle Albert and Vignette, premiered on campus in June 2016. In addition, Summer's short play Boxed premiered at Vertigo's Ten-Minute-Play Festival in March 2015, and her full-length adaptation, Shiny Pretty Things, was produced as a staged reading with L&M Theater Board the following fall. Summer has previously studied at the Second City Training Center and interned for Andrew Lauren Productions, Apostle Pictures, and The Peoples Improv Theater in New York.
