THE FRUITS OF ALDAMAR, by J. M. DeSantis.

Upon a nightmare storm I woke
On a shore strange and far.
I saw approaching me spiked fruit
And knew I was in dreaded Aldamar.

With tendrils whipping excitedly,
They came upon me with their greed,
Making feast of flesh and bone,
Digesting them into seed.

So now I too stand with the pack,
As hungry as they are.
Waiting for the next poor soul
Who happens upon dreaded Aldamar.
