THE WOLF, by Lois Terrans.
Mr heart was cast to the wolves that night,
When rage guided your path.
You stood so still,
Your eyes burnt so cold.
And you waited for the screams to begin.
Your torture was silent and my love began to pale.
The ground trembled as heavy paws pounded the earth,
Rushing towards my life so hatefully.
With tears on my face, prayers in my heart
And knuckles white with strain,
My eyes searched yours for a sign.
The wolves so close gathered around.
Their hot whispers tearing my flesh.
Yours eyes never flickered, as the command you gave
And lost my love in an angered storm.
